INTRALASE FEMTOSECOND (IFS) LASER

The iFS laser is the first blade-less laser technology available for corneal flap creation.  The iFS laser creates a uniform layer of bubbles just below the corneal surface, after which the corneal flap is created by gently separating the tissue where these bubbles have formed.  The iFS laser results in a successful outcome with minimal disruption to the corneal surface.  It makes for stronger corneal flaps and fewer possible complications, ultimately leading the patient to a faster recovery.
